The Chevrolet Malibu classic is a very attractive and famous middle-size car produced by a famous American company General Motors (GM). The name Malibu kept on the name of the city of Malibu, California. It is produced from 1964 to 1983 and from 1997 to present. In the beginning, Malibu was not known by Malibu but instead of that it is known as a trim level car named Chevrolet Chevelle. It obtained the name Malibu in 1978 as a rear wheel drive, but later GM revived it to become a four-wheel-car in 1997. The Malibu products were sold in North America only, but the new model of Malibu launched in 2012 was sold in other countries as well.

The latest Eighth Generation Chevrolet Malibu classic products launched in 2013 and it was launched on a GM Epsilon II platform. The new model is also called Holden Malibu, and it is launched in various countries other than North America. It is a four door sedan with a Transverse Front Engine and a front-wheel drive. The other models of new Malibu 2013 includes LS 1LS, LT 2LT, ECO 1SB, ECO 2SA, LTZ 1LZ. All the above models consist of amazing features like the, six speakers, BSW tires, a USB/iPod port, a F/M- A/M stereo along with a single-disc MP3 Player or CD player, power seat of front driver, wooden interior trim, four inline cylinder of 2.4L engine which is place through a six times speed of sport mechanical transmission along with manual suitability. Except LS 1LS, all the other models contain touch-screen large display which uses Chevrolet’s MyLink System, it also offers a Internet Radio facility of  playback capabilities through a USB cable.

Models and Features of Malibu Cars

The first model of Malibu was launched back in 1964, and it is a mid-sized Chevrolet Chevelle. The Malibu cars were available in a wide range of body styles which includes a two-door sports Coupe hardtop, four-door sedan and convertible and two-seat station wagon. The Malibu SS was replaced by a new Chevelle SS-396 in 1966.
