The Volkswagen Jetta TDI is a SEO, which is the highest trim level 4 the Jetta TDI. TDI is referring that this is a diesel engine sedan and is turbocharged with direct injection. This is a four-door sedan which can accommodate up to five passengers.

The flaps in the front are appealing which are enclosed to increase air dynamics and if there is a requirement then the flaps can open up to allow more air to flow through the radiator. The trunk can be opened with the key. The trunk is quite large and deep with 60x40 rear folding seats and underneath the cover there are the tools and a spare wheel.

Under the hood, the packaging is fairly tight there is a large engine cover which can be easily removed. Checking for serviceability there is an engine coolant, there are a washer, oil fill and the dip stick and the battery. The brake fluid reservoir is buried a little bit under the hood. This is an inline four cylinder diesel engine, 2.0 litres turbocharged with direct injection. The engine can produce 150 hp at 3500 rpm and 236-foot pounds of torque at 1750 rpm.

The seats have got leather covering and are electronically adjustable upfront. There is plenty of legroom at the front seats and a decent amount of headroom. The steering gives a nice soft feeling covered with leather and gives a lot of controls i.e. the cruise control and buttons that give the ability to switch songs are present on the steering itself. There four power automatic windows and the side mirrors can be adjusted electronically and they also have the capability to automatically defrost. On the display upfront you can see in the centre the average fuel consumption, how many miles you are left with, how far you have gone, your average speed, what speed you are going and also oil temperature.

Looking up at the entertainment system there is a navigation system, you can connect to your phone, climate control and there are three different settings for heated front seats. Manual six-speed transition, push starts, cup holders in the centre and standard mechanical parking brakes are other standard features of the sedan. There’s a nice power sunroof top and there is space to hold sunglasses. The rear view mirror covers the whole rear window which is nice and there are blind spot detections on the side mirrors. The rear seats have also got pretty good legroom with limited headroom and power windows for the rear seat passengers. The sedan has also got fold downs with cup holders and a removable panel to gain access to the trunk.

The manual transition is a pretty easy at engagement which makes shifting gears easy; easy to downshift and the clutch pedal feel is pretty decent. The overall riding experience is good, the seats are comfortable and the suspension is pretty soft. It is a fun car to drive especially with this kind of manual transmission.
