Mini Cooper S Hardtop 4-Door Automatic, the sensible go-kart with gunfighter reflexes

The publicity army of Mini has this inclination to make go-kart reference while explaining their automobiles, but, fortunately, these claims actually have found some base. The Mini Hardtop, the news four door-test mule we chose inherit some of those. With its 189-hp, the Mini Cooper S demonstrates reflexes of a gunfighter and shows no trace of body roll.

The Hardtop has the response trait of a mongoose hunting a snake and with a 2.5 turns lock to lock, the steering acts quickly and precisely.   Well, the car has everything to make the rider feel like Fernando Alonso on track adventures. It sounds really good, but there is more to life than racing on tracks. The dynamic traits of the Mini are less likable when you evaluate this as an everyday transport. The suspension tuning of the car is such that even the tiniest pavement disturbances are communicated to the passengers on a higher scale. This is further magnified by the tires which are low profile Pirelli Cinturato P7 run-flat sized 205/40-18, having been chosen so that no space is to be carried in the car. The ride of qualify due to this scales from stiff to harsh and the process culminates into increased road din. The Mini Cooper S is fitted with a 2.0 Liter four-cylinder engine which offers a respectable 189-hp and it is coupled to a six-speed automatic. The union brings appreciable forward movement which is brisk, and the 0-60mph is achieved in just 6.2 seconds, and it vaults over the quarter-mile mark in 14.8 seconds speeding at 95mph. When we told brisk it did not mean to be breathtaking, but you can summon the maximum the engine can give, by using the shift paddle and collect some more fun. Optionally you can buy the manual transmission which involves you in the process of driving more while reminding you of the bygone era in a nice way. But the cog-swapping is done faster with the use of automatic. The racy feel that we talk about can be seen inside the cabin too, which is at least applicable to the seats. They are bolstered aptly to be race track ready and offer fantastic lateral support in spite of g-loads.  This could be a bit more like the driving traits of Mini for everyday driving and one feel that the chairs are too confining to be comfortable for prolonged travels. On the plus side, the Mini hatchback with four-door is far better to the one with two doors and offer great comfortable to two grownup adults at the back. Though you cannot compare it with the VW GTI for space, the practicality elements of the hatchback make it a better hard-edged vehicle. The 2015 Mini Cooper S Hardtop is given front engine layout with front-wheel-drive and can carry five passengers. The base price of the car is $27,450 and the test mule we drove cost $35,900. Carries a curb weight of 2991 pounds and delivers a fuel economy of 26/33mpg according to EPA. In our test drive, we extracted 25mpg in mixed driving.
